East Hampton Color Palette

It's blustery and windy out there today and thought I would send out a reminder that yes, warm sunny weather is on its way.  Last summer I was at an estate sale off the beaten path (at least off of my beaten path) and loved the color of these "vintage" boats.    Turns out I was at the East Hampton Marina but really the back-of-the house part of the marina.  There were lots of beautiful dilapidated boats, their colors bleached by the sun.  I love the weathered wood with the blues, bits of scarlet red and the greenery.

Can't wait for summer!!

Lily of the Valley- May Day in France

I wish I could say this was my photo - Found it on Pinterest and sadly no lily of the valleys to be found in NYC . It reminded me of la fete des muguets (Celebration of Lily of the Valley) in France that takes place on May 1 every year.  When I lived in Paris they seemed to pop out of nowhere-- suddenly It is said that this  for sale on one day only.  This little flower brings back happiness and it is a tradition to give a bunch of them to a loved one on the 1st of May in France.
